Approaches
In principle, the best teaching approach is that that lets the participant meet his/her personal goal. There is no “one approach” for every situation, for every learning objective, for every student, etc.
At Eifert. Sprachen. Seminare. Coaching. we apply this approach to the respective course!
We have, however, 4 rules that apply to our institution:
1. Modern language training has a
- Holistic approach,
- One’s own activities and initiative are at the center,
- The participant is never a passive spectator, but an active participant.
2. Language means speaking, meaning
- to grasp concrete and typical situations at the time of origin,
- to trigger and exercise adequate linguistic responses –
- that is how language acquisition by way of dialogue occurs.
3. Modern language training takes into account
- real situations, in which everybody has the right and duty
- to be understood and to understand others,
- to be able to express thoughts and feelings and
- to actively participate socio-culturally in the form of communication.
4. Communication in the classroom takes place exclusively in the target language (direct method).
